Jon Olson

Jon Olson

Height: 5'10"
Year: Junior
Number: 24
Position: Setter/Rightside/Defensive Specialist
Hometown: Allen, TX
Volleyball experience: I played indoor volleyball for the first time at tryouts my freshman year.
About me: There is so much interesting stuff about me, so I don't really know where to start. I was born in Rieti, Italy (in Europe) where I spent the first few years of my life. At around the age of 5, I moved to the United States, where the country greeted me with awe and wonder. From that point I toured the country. Everyone seemed to know my name, and people were always coming up to me and saying things like, "Hey you're really awesome!" or like, "Jon, I want to have your babies."
Then I turned 7, and life began to settle down again. I lived a peaceful existence (my own choosing. Fame will get to you, but you wouldn't know that) until I came to college at Texas A&M University. From this point, I decided that I would strive to be the greatest volleyball player there ever was.

That was how I learned humility. (Because I'm really not that good)

Favorite volleyball player: Reid Priddy
Favorite practice activity: Certainly not Coach on One

Guitar Hero/Rock Band song:     Depends on if I'm jamming away on the drums or if I am belting out some incredible vocals. I really like More Than A Feeling and a bunch of other ones. There's just too many songs to pick from.
Bible verse: Jeremiah 29:11
Music: The Juliana Theory, Minus the Bear, The Faint, Brandtson, Jack's Mannequin, Jimmy Eat World, Scouting For Girls, the list continues (not the band, I really mean there are more bands that I like)...
